I wrote these comments and sent them as an Email to Anna Funder c/o her agent after I finished reading Stasiland.

I have just finished reading Stasiland which I found powerful beyond words. I should say that I and the surveillance crew who have been tracking me for 13+ years 24/7/365 just finished Stasiland.

As incredible as it might sound, this is a profoundly accurate statement and why I found Stasiland so powerful. This experience is not behind us. It is alive and well and in a way far worse in London's North Kensington today than the GDR ever thought.

I don't want to go into detail at this point because what is happening, how it is being done and the surveillance technology being used are all quite unbelievable which is why this goes on and on. No one addresses it. [They don’t believe it can be true.]

I knew nothing about Stasi except in name and its terrible reputation. Stasiland was an education for me in what had been done, and I could empathise with its victims in many ways. The stories of the people were incredible and almost beyond words, but you managed to capture it.

After reading sections of people's experiences, I would recount what you had described for my own notes and for the benefit of those using surveillance technology so that they could have an explicit rendition of what you were describing since it reflected their activity as well.

On page 123 you describe Julia's comments about surveillance as "it's the total surveillance that damaged me the worst." You have no idea what that means today with the neuroscience based surveillance technology that is totally invasive and can track a human being anywhere and do anything day or night.

I happened to hear your interview on the BBC Radio3's Night Wave programme. I'll have to read your new book, but first I wanted to read Stasiland, and what a reward that was. I had never heard of it until now. Well, I've been busy living in today's Stasiland.

Thanks for a marvellous contribution to human understanding. I just hope that somehow what you have written about historically after the Wall came down and with some perspective of distance in time can get transferred to today's "Wall" that is now surveillance technology that I call "Toxic Surveillance."

I was 18 in 1961 when the Wall went up that August and remember it well. I was in the USAF at basic training in San Antonio [Texas]. After that I served in the USAF Security Service at its HQ's there and in Trabzon, Turkey.

While in San Antonio at HQ, a guy I knew had just come back from West Berlin in 1963 after being there for three years and wanted to go back for another three years which he got because he was a Polish linguist having grown up speaking Polish. He really liked West Berlin at that time. He had an apartment about three blocks from the Wall, he said, with a German girlfriend and new child.

During the Cold War at that time including the Cuban Missile Crisis and assassination of JFK, Berlin was very much in our minds all the time. I recall the day when JFK made his "Ich bin ein Berliner" gaff which I knew immediately was wrong from the little German I understood. but no one said anything because they knew what he meant. The fact that he was in West Berlin was phenomenal.

It is amazing that you were not born until 1966 and do not have these events as part of your existence, yet you have written this extraordinary book that has educated us all about Berlin, the Wall and the incredible government in the GDR. How much we did not and still do not know is incredible. That's why these museums are so very important which you described at the end of your book.

The USAF Security Service had its station in Berlin at Templehof airport, and the Berlin airlift was something that was not very far away from memory and what had been done to keep West Berlin open. I did not know the details that you described especially about the power station shutdown that was in East Berlin. 277K flights is incomprehensible.

I recall this guy who was there and going back saying that an aircraft landed every minute or two, and that it was such a small space that if they missed the landing they had to fly back out to the "Zone" as it was called then by them in order to return.

I have also noted more recently that there was a reward out for our capture in West Berlin at that time which I didn't know. I now have a little better understanding of what I thought was risible after having come to understand the full force of the Stasi and its total preoccupation with all information about everyone especially West Berlin and Western Germany. It seems quite likely that such a reward was on offer for anyone to capture any one of us.

When I was in Trabzon, Turkey, there were guys there who had come from West Berlin. Everybody knew everyone else. It was a small world. We never considered ourselves at risk, but then maybe we just didn't know. Ignorance is bliss. We considered our job as extremely important at that time during the Cold War.

Now I know better especially after having recently read Richard J Aldrich's GCHQ where he describes in his chapter 16 Disaster at Kiizildere how three USAF Security Service guys were taken hostage in Ankara in 1971. They managed to escape. But, the three GCHQ guys captured in 1972 were not so lucky. They were taken from a base on the Black Sea near Samsun which was our sister base down the coast in the middle of Turkey. We were on the Black Sea about 90 miles from the then Soviet border of Georgia.

At the end of August 1964 when I was coming back from holiday in Athens, I arrived in Ankara on a day that the USAF barracks there had been stoned by demonstrators, and US personnel were advised to stay indoors and not go out with their uniform on. I was walking around the centre of Ankara in uniform because I had flown MATS from Athens quite blissfully ignorant of all this. Nothing happened to me, but it did show that things were unsettled even then.

The great tragedy now concerning me and my experience is that I am being subjected to what I consider treatment that transcends what the Stasi did and portends a great problem for the West if it is not made widely known and brought under democratic control for it is the antithesis of all that is democratic and the epitome of what the Stasi were trying to do. The surveillance technology is such that they will succeed beyond the Stasi's wildest dreams if this is not made well known and stopped.

I recall your description of Frau Paul's incredible and devastating experience and how she and her husband became part of only nine people known so far at the time of the writing of your book out of the 38,000 who were "sold" to Western Germany but were dumped paperless in East Berlin instead of West Berlin/Germany as promised and paid.

That's the same thing that Lt Harry Bird USMC Ret is trying to do to me in London along with the help of the government including the police, NHS and others. He wants me removed from my home and dumped on the street by being locked out with all my possessions confiscated by him and a woman [BS] whom I had reported for child abuse in 1998 just before they got surveillance technology to use against me.

The parallel goes further than this. Frau Paul and, if I recall correctly, Miriam, had an unfortunate experience with the same supposed legal representative. Frau Paul believed that their failure to be be completely sold was due to their refusing his legal counsel. Finally, on page 255 you describe her as being followed because "there are a lot of people who don't want us to raise our voices, to fight for what we deserve."

It's the same here in the UK now. The law enforcement, legal system and prison system are all one wrapped up together. Those using the surveillance technology against me have damaged my computers so that I cannot use them and prevented me from filing annual financial accounts for three years now. They make every effort to stop this from happening by keeping me tied up with their abuse 24/7/365 which I address as top priority since it is life threatening.

I've been prosecuted by Companies House located in Cardiff, Wales twice now on an annual basis and convicted of a criminal offence for the first time in my life for any such legal matter. I've never gotten a traffic ticket. [Well, err, I had my car towed once when parking in the last 15 minutes of a Tow-Away zone time to see a production of the David Frost programme in New York when he had King Hussein of Jordan as a guest.] I could not go to Cardiff to attend the court trials, and they would not transfer it to London despite all my efforts where I can mount a defence based upon what is happening here. I have never seen a judgement just an order to pay fines. I am now threatened with a third criminal proceeding for the same problem all of which will take place in Cardiff.

Strangely, I got a letter earlier this year about an appeal when I had not filed an appeal. I provided the written information requested but did not know which conviction it was about although they were both the same. I then got a second letter from the woman who was the appeals clerk in the Crown Court in Cardiff stating that my appeal was denied because what I described could not possibly be true she said the judge had written. [“No adequate or intelligible explanation for the delay in appealing or as to the claimed merits of any appeal” was provided to me in the 24^th June 2011 letter from the Appeals Officer as to what the “Resident Judge” had written.]

I never saw an appeal document; did not know what it was and never saw an appeal decision. I was just told what it was in what I considered an abusive manner. I have never seen a judge's name for the criminal trials or the appeal and haven't a clue who is doing all of this. I deal with the clerks and get my rejection letters in the post.

As you can see, the Stasi has landed alive and well in the UK and is far more advanced in its destruction using this surveillance technology to seek taking over all my and Xandor Limited's property as well as have me removed from my home and dumped on the street. While all of this might be torture abuse to get me to overreact, the criminal convictions in the Cardiff Magistrates' Court are all too real as are the fines levied when I haven't a penny for anything.

But, who is doing all of this? They are all hidden and stay behind the surveillance technology where they all watch and comment continuously on what I am doing while heaping vast amounts of abuse on me. When you described the process of being under investigation creating the status of enemy of the nation, that is exactly what is happening here too only it is explicitly rendered by continuous non-stop verbal abuse that has gone on for many years as name calling.

The current situation has reached a point that would amaze the hardest Stasi officer by what has been done in terms of informers. Please read the enclosed Email which sets forth the process of distributed surveillance technology placed in neighbours' flats to watch and abuse me by manufacturing allegations in order to get me out when I do nothing at all except report accurately what is happening. This should never be happening in the democratic West and certainly not in the UK, but it is.

I think I'll read Stasiland a second time now.

Ann Rule put a link to your article on her web site which I've just read since I finished her book about Ridgway "Green River, Running Red" yesterday.

You noted important points which were questions I had about whether he would jeopardise his agreement and face the death penalty.

I wrote the following to Ann Rule about this situation and thought you might like to see these comments too.

When Dave Reichert met with Ridgway just before his sentencing in Dec 2003, he might have known conclusively that Ridgway was holding back info, and he might have known exactly what it was but could not reveal its source and needed Ridgway to divulge it. The whole set up of moving him into their operational room where he slept and was interrogated could have been done to facilitate the secrecy of brainwave monitoring which has been done to me since February 2001. I know it exists, what it can do and that it was operational during his interrogation.

They could read his thoughts by a process of intercepting his electromagnetic radiation halo surrounding his head 24/7 to note all his thoughts especially when he was being interrogated, thinking about his crimes and while asleep when memory could be probed. The signals could be sent by microwave to another location, or there could have been others in another office unknown to the officers carrying out the investigation except Dave Reichert. Presumably, no one but him would know since it is so secret.

He would want Ridgway to stay another six months to get him to admit to them what they knew he held in his mind. This interception is based upon a principle called Tempest which has been in development since at least the 1950s for monitoring electronic devices like telephone lines, crypto gear and later computers. During this development process, it is logical that the human brain, a computer also with its own electrical generating source, would be so monitored and decoded.

Although it took me about six months from Feb 2001 when this was introduced by Colonel Vine USMC Ret and Lt Harry Bird USMC Ret to the surveillance activity against me already in place since Aug 1998, I was able to learn that they could see through my eyes, hear with my ears, read my thoughts (words & images) and feed back sound to me electronically so that I could hear what they were saying. There is much more too. This was the manner of interrogating me 24/7 to read my thought reactions by bombarding me continuously with the electronic transmission of sound regardless of my location. They could also induce dreams and probe memory during the night as I slept.

The reason I learned all of this was due to the fact that those using this surveillance technology were psycho/sociopaths (ASPDs) who engaged in sadistic torture and did not hesitate to let me know what they were doing. Especially key to this was the mother of the abused children whom I had reported for child abuse in May 1998. I'll call her BS. She got the surveillance technology installed against me in Aug 1998 and proceeded to carry out the torture abuse as part of a large group of neighbours using initially radar imaging from the flat above mine along with more conventional surveillance including Tempest against computers. I knew everything that was happening and who was involved. There were no mysterious "they."

When Vine and Bird came along 2.5 years into this in Feb 2001 just after Bush was inaugurated in the US (I live in London's N Kensington), I just picked up what they were doing in the same way only improved by the most sophisticated surveillance technology ever. BS and Bird have been the two present all the time 24/7/365 and could not keep their mouths shut. That is why I know them well enough to be able to call them psycho/sociopaths (ASPDs) from Robert Hare’s PCL-R since I have a total of 13 years (actually 15+ years since it was two years before I reported the child abuse in the flat below mine) experience of them 24/7/365 with the surveillance technology and can accurately make that assessment.

I believe that by 2003 this neuroscience based surveillance technology (it could track me and do all its activities wherever I was located) was being used throughout law enforcement in the US for such interrogations. I believe that it was used at Guantanamo and Abu Ghraib in connection with more conventional torture methods to breakdown resistance so that thoughts floated to the surface. The difficulty would be language at these military facilities, but not so in US law enforcement with its prisoners.

It really looks like this was a perfect set up for that activity with its bizarre placement of the killer right with the investigating team. Dave Reichert wanted six more months but had to get it from Ridgway voluntarily in some manner. He did not succeed. I also see his "reward" as a US GOP Congressman following on after this success given the information they did get and the use for R&D they could obtain from this most heinous of serial killers. The GOP came and helped him out from the top. I suspect that the FBI was heavily involved but not known as such outwardly. Funny that Dave Reichert should threaten to bring in the FBI as if the investigative team were inadequate.

Nick Broomfield'’s second documentary about Aileen Wournos c 2004 started in 2002: "Aileen: Life & Death of a Serial Killer." I saw it on Channel4 here and went to the West End to see it in a cinema immediately afterwards I was so captured by what I had seen. She said three things:

1) they put a circuit board behind her mirror above her sink in her cell;

2) they put a microwave dish on top of the Broward County jail about the time she started getting;

3) what she called "noise pressure" in her head.

I wanted to see if there were more indications of what I knew was being done to me with the neuroscience based surveillance technology that existed from at least Feb 2001 in my direct experience. I did not think she was mentally ill and only needed someone to listen to her with understanding as difficult as this might have been. Since no one did, she displayed her verbal aggression which, I believe, they sought to produce in order to discredit what she might reveal. There was little doubt she was quite disturbed, but they appeared to be adding another layer.

The sad part is that she wanted to be executed since she was treated so badly which the State of Florda did in October 2002 at Raiford just like Ted Bundy almost 14 years earlier. The most important thing is to keep these people alive to get all the information from them as is possible to prevent these murders and its kind of behaviour in the future. The problem is that those using this neuroscience technology abuse it trying to create mental illness and destroying people as I've been experiencing for over a decade.

Florida was especially compliant to the demands of those with this neuroscience technology, I believe, since Jeb Bush was George Bush's brother and its governor. The general disposition of Florida law enforcement to kill as you noted in your book about Ted Bundy is also a factor although I must state that my father was not like that at all. I suspect that by 2003 this neuroscience technology would be ideal to use in conjunction with Ridgway's investigation, and its usage with him might even go back to when he was caught from 30th Nov 2001 onwards.

Although I believe that it is right and proper to use such neuroscience technology in this manner, I take great exception, as I would, against its abuse when used indefinitely against innocent people like me by those whom I reported for crimes starting with child abuse. When this neuroscience surveillance technology is in the hands of psycho/sociopaths (ASPDs) who are free to do whatever they want with it indefinitely until their target dies, it destroys the whole foundation of democratic society abrogating the protection of the innocent while ensuring the prosecution of the guilty. The reverse happens and in such a way that it cannot be stopped easily. The worst case scenario is that psycho/sociopathic (ASPDs) serial killers like Ridgway and Bundy will be able to do their crimes officially with surveillance technology of this kind.

In my case BS & Bird are "cleaners" just like Ridgway only they are attacking the aged inside their homes to kill them off so that the younger can take over their homes and possessions which is being done to me. Why I study this carefully and document it all is to be able to stop what I perceive to be the beginning of serial killers' activity which will accelerate and never stop until they are stopped. I don't want to see a whole string of deaths (Dr Shipman killed over 200 of his patients in the UK before he was finally stopped) occur before those in authority wise up to the problem.

The great problem here is that this is happening inside government itself with the police and NHS (National Health Service) participating along with many others in a position of authority. It's out of control, and no one knows what they are doing. That's why your educating the public about serial killers and their psychology is so critically important because the same thing is happening in the US as well as here that I directly experience.

All of this needs to be open in a democratic society, and the public protected. There is a whole new foundation for crime here as well as great help in protecting the public, but it is not being used for that in my direct experience. See how valuable your books are! Thanks again. Gary

Bill Bratton Interview: Former New York Police Chief Says He'd Lead Scotland Yard -The Daily Beast Ms May won't let him

I wrote this on Sunday, 7th August 2011. On Sunday night there was a second night of rioting and looting across London.

I think that this article is so important it deserves a more full consideration of the issues that are surfacing with regard to policing throughout the UK as well as in London since they reflect the failure of the Constitutional Monarchy form of Parliamentary government that currently exists with its unwritten constitution.

This problem is at the core of the foundation of a civilised and democratic UK that is being rent asunder by incompetence and corruption while terrorism, organised and serious crime threaten.

The criminals including those from within, quite literally, are taking over because no one is doing anything to stop general criminality.

This article is an outstanding summary of the problems and why they exist in the UK. Police corruption and incompetence has developed over decades as a result of the brain drain, and incompetent, corrupt officers feathering their nests driving out those who would do better. It's coming apart now as it inevitably will while the Home Secretary Teresa May knows how bad it is and needs to contain it by perpetuating the old system, old boy network: to get along police must go along and stay on message. Instead of a democratic response to incompetence and corruption there is a bureaucratic one which permeates the British government. Teresa May is not responsible to a nation wide democratically elected head of state. She is responsible to her constituency only. That is why Britain is failing so dramatically at present. This Parliamentary system no longer works.

The police corruption and incompetence problem in London today is far worse than that of the 1960s NYPD when all were on the "pad" as exposed by Frank Serpico and the Knapp Commission and was cleaned up by John Lindsay appointing a new commissioner because he was accountable politically to all the people of New York. It took a huge effort to get the corruption exposed then. Can Boris Johnson act like John Lindsay did 40 years ago? No.

The elements today that impact the corruption and incompetence in London are far more serious and embedded than anyone imagines or Mr Bratton describes as the basic policing issues or the complexity of terrorism and protection for the Monarch and others. The terrible corruption and incompetence that still exists unknown which I have experienced directly for 13 years 24/7/365 are and have been covered up by all in government despite its widespread knowledge and use involving hundreds of people from multiple departments of government.

I am talking about the ongoing and continuous Toxic Surveillance used against me in North Kensington to falsely imprison, torture interrogate continuously, carry out medical experimentation, further surveillance technology R&D and ultimately execute to cover up any "resistance" from speaking the truth and providing evidence about all that has happened. This has been covered up by all Home Secretaries (Straw, Blunkett, anon), Foreign Secretaries (Straw again), Chancellors, Prime Ministers (Blair, Brown and now Cameron) and other ministers of state such as those for the NHS and more recently Justice (Straw once more and Clarke). My current MP as of May 2010 is the Chair of the Joint Intelligence and Security Committee, yet this extreme abuse goes on involving the US and UK governments. The government in the UK is non-functional in modern day Britain.

Toxic Surveillance is growing by the use of the general public in the UK who are being trained to use this technology and engage in its violence for control. These are criminals being developed by the government as a standard for behaviour. How can the police hope to cope with this situation and develop competence in law enforcement and avoid corruption when they are being trained at the ground level to be criminal supporters and criminals themselves as standard of practise?

This is what Teresa May wants to protect from exposure, and she will get the cooperation of both David Cameron and Boris Johnson although they might present a different public image for political purposes. Teresa May won't suffer since she is doing what they tacitly want by hiding this abuse further in the system that has prevailed for at least the past 13 years in my direct experience where I have notified commissioner after commissioner along with government ministers of state about this problem with no results. This is a tyranny not a democracy as Mr Bratton describes for policing by the Met in London.

A man or woman like Mr Bratton must come into the Met from the outside to take charge, but it will never happen. Look at what the British have done to the American woman who got the 2012 Olympic bid underway. She was wipe out brutally. Look at what the British did to the guy they brought in to restore the operational capacity of the London Underground. They bounced him when he had gotten it done. The British do not want anyone from the outside to actually do a proper job completely and entirely to receive recognition for it. They exploit instead, use people up and throw them out while claiming credit for the ongoing success. Britain is still psychologically in the 19th century colonial exploitation mode only they are also doing it to themselves as well as can be seen in the police.

1) Eight police officers including three senior officers are on trial in Swansea (Wales) for framing three men for killing a 20-year-old prostitute in 1988. They were convicted but freed after two years when their conviction was squashed on appeal. Finally, a decade later DNA resulted in the apprehension and conviction of the real killer. Now the extraordinary corruption by these eight police officers is coming out at their trial which is expect to run six months it is so complex.

2) The Cleveland Chief Constable (Police Chief) and his deputy were just arrested and suspended on corruption charges because they were too close to the local police oversight organisation among other things.

3) The Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO), a private organisation, ran its own secret police force unaccountable in any way to the government and, therefore, the people of the UK where the Home Office denied any knowledge of it just like the Home Office denies any knowledge of what is being done to me. This was just exposed after many years last 10th January 2011 going back perhaps to 1998 when a police officer seconded from the Met to the ACPO secret police went over to the other side agreeing to testify on behalf of those whom he had infiltrated for years.

4) Last night Tottenham in North London blew up in riots, burning and looting because a 29-year-old with four children was shot and killed by the police on Thursday. The police should have seen this coming and headed it off, but they did not. All they can say is that no one could have seen this coming. Nonsense.

This police corruption is nationwide and infiltrates the top brass all over the UK as well as extending to the ground level as I've directly experienced for 13 years since mid-August 1998. This is why I get death threats continuously as I attempt to expose and/or comment upon the truth about what is happening as I am doing now. The UK desperately needs someone like Mr Bratton but will never let anyone from the outside into the top position at the Met.

I'll bet there are a huge number of officers just like Frank Serpico was who wanted to do a genuine job of policing and public service but cannot given the machine that operates in favour of incompetence and corruption. Even if Mr Bratton gets into the job most likely they will eat him alive and spit him out as the British do over and over again. I don't know why anyone would want the job of Met Commissioner. The UK is disintegrating from within because the police do not enforce the law and are part of the criminal enterprise activities against which they are supposed to protect the public. Can anyone clean this up?

In the "Gangs of New York" New York State had to send in a separate police force to replace the one then in New York City during the 19th century because they were so corrupt. The New York City police even then refused to leave and fought against those sent in by New York State. Read the book, and you'll also see a bit of this in Martin Scorcese's film. There is no New York State equivalent to send in a separate police force into London to take over the Met. How will reform ever work given the current form of UK government and a Home Secretary like all Home Secretaries who will protect themselves at the expense of the people who eventually turn to riot and mayhem as occurred in Tottenham last night?

There are the court assigned bail restrictions, and there are the intelligence and security services own surveillance activity. These need to be separated. But, what is not even noted is the fact that Julian Assange is with little doubt subjected to complete and total monitoring by what I call Toxic Surveillance that covers him as a human being and all his technology equipment as well based upon the principle of Tempest regardless of location.

Here they are talking about a couple roadside cameras set up in addition to his tagging and need to report to the police daily. It's all irrelevant when compared to what is actually happening carried out by a joint effort of US and UK agents which has been used against me for over a decade in North Kensington. It's all denied, of course, but it goes on brutally all the time. This won't happen to Julian Assange because they will do legitimate surveillance not the brutal terror, torture that is being carried out against me. At least not yet, anyway.

Mark Stephens has to wake up to the fact that this has been used against me for almost 13 years 24/7/365 in North Kensington in the most brutal manner imaginable by large groups of people many known to me. What he says about Julian Assange is rubbish. They go after everyone in a most extreme manner from which there is no protection. The presumption of guilt is the driving force for imprisoning indefinitely without charge as I've experienced for almost 13 years.

My Twitter account has been disabled, but I can use it by limited methods. I've not have any problem with Facebook until this except for a security issue which forces me to logon and look at security warnings.

This is censorship of the worse kind, but it has been going on for all these years in an effort to destroy so that Lt Harry "Ill Eagle" Bird USMC Ret, BS and others can dominate and control by means of Toxic Surveillance. Bird is a right-wing psychopath who boosts himself by destroying others. He has surveillance technology to enable him to do this which he shares around with the other psychopaths.

He and BS are trying to rig an election by trading in fear and suppression that will give BS power to wipe out as she pleases (she hopes). This is her path since I reported her child abuse in May 1998 followed by her public declaration of revenge and retaliation on 11th May 1998. She's still at it making all kinds of threats and engaging in extreme torture abuse with the surveillance technology that is intended to kill. Jobs schmobs. Nixon won in 1972 when unemployment went up +2%? What really happened when Nixon sought re-election other than Watergate?

1. Phase I price and wage freeze in Aug/Sep 1971. Phase II controls came along later.

2. Hyped money supply underneath this in run up to Nov 1972.

3. Breton Woods agreement was falling apart because of Vietnam spending and monetary policy which resulted when US dollar floated and fixed exchange rates ended.

4. US was just coming out of the 1969/70 market and economic debacle where letter stock like Toxic Debt remained hidden destroying portfolio values.

5. Penn Central commercial paper crisis in May 1970 created a liquidity crises forcing the Fed to turn on the monetary spigot.

6. The Vietnam War was a disaster with demonstrations in Washington that rattled the White House. Kent State killings occurred in May 1970. Nixon was looking for a way out.

All of the options that were available in 1971/2 such as they were except wage and price controls are not available today. The debt is out of control, and the money supply cannot be used. Floating exchange rates value the dollar without intervention depending upon what the market players think. There are two wars (Afghanistan and Libya) underway and Iraq is still smoldering. Other Muslim states are in a state of revolution.

The only thing that can save the US is to cut spending which will impact jobs making unemployment worse, but it has to be done. Obama won't do it. There will be a lot less employment in the future the longer the borrowing and spending goes on along with monetising the debt. It is a very dark scenario.

There could be a military take over of the US as is occurring in secret with Toxic Surveillance and Top Secret America. Martial Law will solve the employment problem, but very little money will be available. It's all over for awhile due to terrible mis-management. The question is whether the US will ever climb out of the hole it is sinking into. The 1930s could be seen as a picnic by comparison.

I wouldn't worry about unemployment percentages at the moment or next year. That is the least of the problems. And, look at what happened after Nixon was re-elected. He bombed Hanoi for 12 days in Dec 1972 after saying "Peace is at hand." The 1973/4 recession and stock market debacle with inflation changed the world forever. He wasn't around to finish his term in office since he was forced to resign over Watergate. Obama’s in the bubble created by the US military who want perpetual war.
