UK Government Wants ISPs to Block Adult Content on the Internet

Broadband firms urged to block sex websites to protect children

This is creeping censorship by the government attempting to add another layer to ISPs' role of Big Brother implementer.  While everyone agreed that child sex abuse web sites should have been blocked which was done successfully, the UK government now wants ISPs to block sex web sites instead of parents in the home.  What was universally acceptable is now being stretched to that which is not universally objectionable except for children where parents should be responsbile. The public will have to "opt-in" to watch sex websites. How? From a list? What's next?

Who will pay for this huge job of creating a list of these sites?

How will they be judged? Who's going to be doing it?

It's one thing to automatically ban child sex abuse web sites with which everyone agrees but quite another to ban adult sex content web sites.

Will the government then have a database of all those who "opt-in" to watch adult sex web sites on the Internet?

Will they be next to be selected for surveillance by the government to see what other "depravity" in which these people might engage?

This is wide open for abuse creating the very objectional behaviour the government seeks to limit. This is social control that can easily run amok as it has done in my situation.

I have a large group of people abusing surveillance technology against me 24/7/365 at the core of which are the mother of the children whom I reported for child abuse in May 1998 and Lt Harry "Ill Eagle" Bird USMC Ret. She started with surveillance technology abuse 24/7/365 in mid-august 1998, and he joined with his most sophisticated surveillance technology in February 2001. Together they have been doing this for 12 years and four months continuously and are always present.

They attack any adult content material that I might access on the Internet with brutal verbal abuse and direct interference using the surveillance technology to cut off my computer from the Internet forcing me to reboot since resetting the router does not work. They have that kind of control with the surveilalnce technology.

At the same time, however, they engage in sadistic sexual verbal abuse against me personally around-the-clock of the most violent character and get others including chihldren involved as well. They attack all forms of normal human biological activity manufacturing false allegations to which they cling relentlessly and in a most hysterical manner. They get others to join in, and those with a sadistic character disposition do so. They also involve children in this activity. They are thus engaged in serious child sexual abuse.

The UK government is behind this and has been for 12 years four months 24/7/365 since mid-August 1998 involving various departments of government at both the local and central levels as well as elected officials.

Under the ruse of pretending to attack my viewing adult content matter on the Internat, they carry out this violence gainst me for their own perverted sadistic pleasure. These people do this for power, and they do not care what they do. They just abuse indiscriminately faking allegations to maintain power so that they can abuse on a continuous basis which has lasted for over 12 years 24/7/365.

The government now proposes an activity which will result in the creation of a database of all people who want to "opt-in" to watch adult content on the Internet The government wants the ISPs to create this database so that adult content material can be accessed by these people on this list on the Internet. I believe this to be an invasion of privacy and a human rights violation.

As in my case, the government will have a database of people whom they can then subject to surveillance by child abusers and those with viciously violent personalities to create the illusion of social control that is really an excuse for these people to abuse adults and children. The government will be creating the very abuse it has sought to end because that is what is actually happening already in the world in my direct experience. This is not an hypothetical situation.

Consider this parallel situation. Adult content magazines are placed on the top shelf of stores to keep them out of reach of children so they cannot see, pick them up and read them in store. Suppose the government wants the store owner to remove all these top shelf adult content magazines from view, create a list of those adults who wish to purchase them and then sell them from under the counter only to those on the list?

Who will make up the list of magazines to be removed from public display? How will standards and criteria be developed and applied to do so? The store owner will then have to create an approved list of purchasers and will have to get information about them to determine borderline decisions with respect to age, etc. He will then have to specially segregate these listed magazines and privately sell them only to approved customers on his own list of purchasers. Who will do the work and who will pay for its cost? It will also be changing continuously.

The government cannot possibly get involved in asking the ISDPs to carry out this kind of censorship and distribution of adult content material on the Intenet. It might seek to create the equivalent of a "top shelf" at the ISPs, but that could be fraught with time-consuming effort and endless haggles over decisions about whom to segregate in this manner. Even that is not feasible.

What happens if the government wants to decide that certain people are not suitable to obtain adult content material?

If the government has allowed child abusers and viciously violent personalites to abuse surveillance technology against me and and other adults and children in the process for 12+ years 24/7/365, why doesn't it address this frontline directly abusive activity in the community and bring it to a stop instead of trying to implement censorship at the ISPs which should be done by the parents at home to protect children?

There is a terrible failure of government already present that is not being addressed while the government is proposing to create an environment that will encourage further abuse. This surveillance technology abuse is growing with recruits being sought and added. They need something to go after. Culling from a list of those who "opt-in" to watch adult material on the Internet for surveillance technology targets is just such an opportunity that will allow this "industry" of abuse to grow.

Imagine people getting hold of this list who are extremist power freaks seeking to "out" those miscreants who watch adult content material such as MPs, doctors, lawyers or just neighbours they want to hate? "S/he's on BT's porn view list," they will shout labeling the innocent a sex fiend and campaigning for his/her removal.
